Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone and a broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The mode of action of ciprofloxacin involves the inhibition DNA gyrase and subsequent inhibition of replication by tight DNA binding. Pathogens resistant to multiple Antibiotics have been found to be susceptible to Ciproflaxacin.

Indication Mainly used for bacterial and mycoplasma infections, such as: chronic respiratory disease, E.
coli disease, infectious rhinitis, avian pasteurellosis, fowl typhoid, staphylococcal disease,
Piglet white diarrhea and so on.
Interactions 1.To use with aminoglycosides, broad-spectrum penicillin combined have synergistic
2.antibacterial effects.
3.Ca2 +, Mg2 +, Fe3 +, Al3 + and other metal ions and products can occur chelation,
4.affect its absorption.
5.Inhibition of hepatic drug metabolizing enzyme, so that other drugs (such as theophylline,
6. caffeine) decreased metabolism, decreased clearance, plasma concentration, and even
7.symptoms of poisoning.
8.To use in combination with probenecid may be due to compete for the same carrier and
9.inhibits its excretion in the renal tubules, and prolong the half-life period.
Dosage and Administration calculated in accordance with the product
mixed drinking: 1L of water per 0.4 ~ 0.8g (calculated according to ciprofloxacin 40 ~ 80mg) ,
2 times a day, continuous for 3days
Side Effects 1.Make young animal cartilage degeneration, affect bone development and cause lameness and
pain.
2.Digestive reactions occur, such as vomiting, loss of appetite and diarrhea.
3.skin reactions include erythema, pruritus, urticaria and photosensitivity reactions.
Precaution (1) The potential stimulant for central nervous system, inducing seizures, epilepsy of dogs with
caution.
(2) Use in caution for renal insufficiency animals and carnivore. For animals with severe kidney
or liver disease need to adjust the dosage, in order to avoid drug accumulation.
(3) prohibited to use in hens of egg laying period.
